Fatmata Abdulrahman Mbamba, shows what is said to be the footprints of Abeid Amani Karume, the first president of Zanzibar, set into the cement floor of the roof of the flats and said to be made during his first official visit. Karume, was shot dead at his home on April 7, 1972.
