Francesca is available to assist & provide administrative and curatorial assistance and support in relation to exhibitions, acquisitions and displays of photography.
Francesca initiated & organised a showing of "Migrations", the acclaimed travelling exhibition by internationally renown documentary photographer Sebastião Salgado, in Africa.
Interested to see how this exhibition would be received on the continent, Francesca collected & curated a 'pop-up' version to be shown at the Zanzibar International Film Festival and ran photo workshops with local children recording their responses.
Francesca initiated & curated the first public exhibition of Reuters photographs charting the history of the conflict in Kosovo, which was exhibited in collaboration with the charity War Child & the Thomson Reuters Foundation in 1998. With the help of Reuters Pictures colleague Chris Helgren, they edited thousands of images from the Reuters archive into a 30 image chronology. A live feed of photography from Reuters photographers on the Kosovo story beamed into the Christies exhibition space in Clerkenwell warehouse in central London to keep the story current.
The exhibition toured the cities of Dublin, York and Athens accompanied by Pulitzer Prize winning Reuters photojournalist Yannis Behrakis, (pictured right with The Reuters Foundation Project Manager Jo Weir) who gave talks on covering the conflict. It eventually became a permanent exhibition in the Ministry of Culture in Pristina, Kosovo.
