I wish more people knew about London's Migration Museum, where tonight I spent the evening listening and talking to journalist and author Gary Younge delivering their annual lecture. Listen to it here.
Gary with his usual razor sharp insight looked at how immigration is understood in the current age and what the consequences are in terms of migration, social anxiety and democracy. Influenced by his work and travels in the US and his recent experience of covering the 2017 UK general election, Gary considered the political and economical dimensions of the current debate around immigration and how it differs and relates to ongoing debates about globalisation, capital and trade.
Also love the idea of a migrating exhibition of images, Migration on Tour, some of which displayed below.
