Black Chronicles

September 04, 2016

A very important lecture today by Catherine Hall adding another crucial layer to the enigmatic but brilliant exhibition Black Chronicles in conjunction with Autograph ABP at the National Portrait Gallery and talking about her project  Legacies of British Slave Ownership at UCL.

As part of my own research, I am investigating the story of Henry Morton Stanley's slave Kalulu (Ndugu M'hali), who I believe he was 'given' in Zanzibar. Please do contact me directly if you have any leads.
